Hairstone | Ally Engleman
The project here was to create a brand and logo for a company you have designed. For my project, I combined crystals and hair care. Crystals can be used as healers and protectors. With Hairstone, customers can choose from various crystals to put into their shampoo and conditioner. Additionally, Hairstone also has products with set crystals like the amber heat protectant, specified for protection and resistance.

Tito’s Redesign | Ally Engleman | 1080x1080
The project was to redesign a brand of any choice. I chose Tito’s because I have previously worked with beverage marketing and social media. Another reason I chose Tito’s was because it’s a well-known brand that I felt could benefit from a logo redesign. I stuck with the bright orange that reminds you of Austin, Texas. I felt as if the old logo and the brand personality didn’t match up, so I created a custom type to show the youth in the brand.
Seal Adventure | Ally Engleman | 1920x1080
I created an underwater adventure in the Arctic Ocean for this project. First, I planned out my elements: the bubbles, kelp, and iceberg. I designed these in Photoshop and Illustrator. Then, I sketched my seals in Photoshop as well. Lastly, I selected an underwater audio to complement the background. I then animated the seals to look at each other and keep along their path.
Nighttime Boat Route | Ally Engleman | 1920x1080
Here, I created a nighttime scene with a floating island. The animation consists of the two boats, different palm trees, the moon, clouds, islands, and the water. I chose the nighttime background because I’m more of a night owl! I used the puppet tool to animate the palm trees swaying.

Here, I created a rocket blasting off into space. I used circles and the transform setting to create the smoke effect. I also placed planets along the route to give the animation depth.
Custom Typeface | Ally Engleman | 1080x1920
I made a custom typeface in Illustrator. I wanted to make a typeface that looks like bamboo. I first created the typeace without the leaves. I realized the type needed more, so I added small decorative leaves and a shadow to create depth. I chose bamboo because I love pandas!
Winter Wonderland | Ally Engleman | 1920x1080
For our final Adobe After Effects project, I used everything I had learned from the previous assignments. By creating a winter wonderland inspired by ski trips with my family, I used the pupped tool, position, mask, and motion blur tools. I also hand-drew everything seen in the animation.

This project entails figuring out the ins and outs of stop motion. I chose my theme to be Severance, a science fiction show where characters split their brains into their work self and their personal self.

Here is the start of my claymation journey. Our first responsibility was to create a unique shape, so I made a peace sign. Then, we were tasked with making a 5-7 second claymation. I decided to map mine out. I wanted to change the hand to a hang loose sign but it wasn’t enough, so I added the waves on the bottom to give context.
Custom Letter Design | Ally Engleman
Our assignment was to create a letterform. I thought it would be interesting to have a letter be uppercase and lowercase at the same time. So, I started doodling and I came up with an A that was shaped like a little “a” and a big “A” at once.
